Staring at the African sky with the host of twinkling stars is where my journey started. Gazing upon the Southern Cross led to wondering where the sun is shining now? What are the people doing?

January 31,1991 is when my imagination turned into reality. The Gulf War was the topic of conversation all over the world. Determination to explore and learn was my driving force and no war was going to stop me.

Arriving at Luxemburg Airport with a backpack, sleeping bag, walkman and a Lonely Planet meant we were ready for the adventure. A one year overseas experience lead to two years of living, work and travelling through the UK, Europe, Middle East.

October 1992 my journey continued through South East Asia to Aotearoa “Land Of The Long White Cloud”. There I decided to formalize my passion of travel by studying Travel & Tourism, Business Management, IATA and UFTAA. My wish to excel and encouragement from my tertiary provider saw me becoming a student member of PATA and finalist in the PATA Student Scholarship to Hong Kong.

Sharing my passion for travelling started with employment in the coach touring industry. After a number of years an opportunity to teach travel & tourism arose unexpectedly. A few years down the track I was very keen to get back into the tourism industry. I landed my dream job with a multinational inbound tour operator.

What more could a girl want! My days were spent preparing tour itineraries for group tours, FIT, self drive packages and special interest groups. My horizon expanded even more when I got the opportunity to arranged shore excursions for cruise ships.

After 20 years in NZ it was time to explore sunny Australia. He had been calling me for a while. Australia turned my experience of the hospitality industry from student work to sales professional for a couple of years.
